The title of this website is Colin Field's Personal Collection of Genealogical Records, and that is exactly what it is. It is essentially the genealogy of my children, Julie and David Field, but all known lines of the family from Julie and David's great grandparents have also been included. Further back than Julie and David's great grandparents, the line of demarcation between what has been included and what has not been included is far less clear cut. Essentially this website is a grab bag of everything Colin knows (or believes he knows) about their family. Clearly this knowledge is uneven on the various lines, and reflects the relative "closeness" of some "rellies" and the relative "distance" of others. Notes have been included so as to document material that has been collected that is beyond the straight genealogical facts. In some ways, these additional notes are the most interesting and give insights into the lives of our ancestors that would otherwise have been lost
